Scope of Work:

The marketing team at NCSU needed a gift for visiting attendees to commemorate the grand opening of Talley Student Union. My NCSU ties and local business with an emphasis on sustainability helped land the contract. With an extremely tight budget, I worked with the marketing team to identify a product and design that would be most appropriate for the occasion. After walking through the newly renovated Talley Student Union, a massive bronze installation of a wolf caught my eye, which would serve as the subject of the piece. I used my specialty of laser cutting to create a design that mimicked the large scale installation. To ensure that the piece of art was also functional, I added a stand so the decorative memento could be used as a cell phone or notepad stand.
